Who We Are
Marianne Power is a Florida Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife, and Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience in nursing and midwifery combined. Her philosophy of pregnancy and birth have been shaped by her own birth experiences.Through education and midwifery care she was transformed by the birth of her three children. This path ultimately led to her midwifery career. The staff of Lakeland Midwifery Care are here to provide the space for women to discover their power through birth.
Charlie Rae Young is a Florida Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife graduated from the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery. Shortly after, she began her work in the birth field with the Coalition for Improving Maternity Care Services (CIMS) as a grassroots ambassador for The Birth Survey. Charlie believes that women have an innate ability to give birth without intervention and strives to make a positive difference in the total birth experience for new mothers.
